DFN supports “Estate Day”

DFN supported Estate Day at Robert Owen Community Centre, Trehafren in Newtown. The day arranged, by County Councillor candidate Rupert Taylor, was organised to help residents get rid of items of rubbish and to pick up litter around the estate.

Residents were invited to bring non recyclable waste for disposal in the provided skips. People were assisted with heavy items like fridges and the day was deemed a success.

Pictured volunteers Paul Jones, Housing Surveyor and Katie Wilkes, Tennant Liaison Officer who are stood in front of Dementia Friendly Newtown’s display board, with information about support for people and their families dealing with dementia.
